These stunning Aqua, Cream and Red Ikat cushions are made from hand-woven and hand-dyed silk velvet fabric, known in Uzbekistan as Bakhmal. It is a velvet fabric with a silk pile based on a silk and cotton background. The Ikat technique used to create this beautiful fabric produces a distinctive vibrancy of colour and design, which is evident in these cushions.
Due to the hand-made techniques used in creating our fabrics, there may be slight variations in patterns and colours in the material, which all add to the unique nature of our cushions.
The front is in silk velvet Ikat, and the reverse is in red hand-woven silk fabric comprising 80% natural silk and 20% cotton with entirely natural stuffing consisting of a mix of duck feather and down.
